We apply a RIGOROUS DAILY disinfection protocol in all the material used in the activities; wetsuits, socks, harnesses, backpacks, helmets, etc.
In TEXTILE DISINFECTION, we use an immersion process in an industrial tank. Wetsuits and booties are introduced in a solution with a DETERGENT / VIRUCIDE, “NEOPRENECLEAN”, a specific disinfection of the latest generation, based on lactic acid and exotylene alcohol, being bactericidal, fungicidal and virucidal. It is a product suitable for porous surfaces that complies with the UNE-EN 14476 Standard for antiseptics and chemical disinfectants. You can see the list of virucides provided by the Spanish government here. The solution is made according to the objective. For the virucidal function, 3% of the product will be used, and it is left to act for 10 minutes. It does not need rinsing, because while it dries, the product continues to act, helping to protect it from possible contamination The surfactants contained in this mixture meet the biodegradability criteria stipulated in the regulation (CE) on detergents. Here you can see the technical sheet of the product. For a better cleaning, WE ASK YOU, at the end of the activity, to leave the wetsuit in the same way that we have given it to you (from the right). The booties, on the other hand, will be left inside out.
For the cleaning and disinfection of HARNESSES and other TEXTILE elements, after use they are cleaned following the manufacturer’s instructions, with a neutral PH detergent and a maximum temperature of 30ºc. Once cleaned, they are stored for 72 hours of inactivity to guarantee disinfection. We do not use any chemical compound that can deteriorate these sensitive materials. All equipment is cleaned according to the specifications of the technical sheets for each product.
The hard material, carabiners, descenders, etc., also has a SINGLE USE PER DAY, and is disinfected following the recommendations of the Ministry of Health and the manufacturer, then proceeding to a quarantine of 72 hours of inactivity. All our helmets, after use, are cleaned and disinfected according to the manufacturer’s instructions, with a detergent recommended by the manufacturer, and remain idle for 72 hours to guarantee disinfection. We do not use any chemical product that could alter the safety of the helmet, due to the special sensitivity of these EPIS.
